What was that noise?....
Rambling after week 13...
We have a week to go but its pretty much all over. The Bulldog Division still needs to crown a champion, who will then travel to a land far far away to rescue Princess Fiona, but that isn't till after they compete in two weeks of what is known as the BIGFFBL playoffs. I'll get more in depth on that after the coming weeks games which will determine the final playoff matchups. But for now, let's take a peek at what those matchups would be....
"IF THE PLAYOFFS WERE TODAY-DAY-DAY" (think
of a nice echoing announcer saying that)
Bulldog: Jon's Little Bastards (9-4) [*takes 2nd divisional tiebreaker
over LRH - see rules page]
Husky: Wong's Wong's LD's (8-5)
Bison: Jon's Flying Hellfish (9-4)
Wildcard: Jason's Little Red Horse (9-4)
As far as how seeding goes....you could look at the rules, but I'll be a nice guy and tell you...
#1 - (9-4, 103-39-1) Flying Hellfish
#2 -
(9-4, 91-50-2) Little Red Horse
#3 - (9-4, 92-51-0) Little Bastards
#4 -
(8-5, 82-60-1) Wong's LD's
If I need to tell you that #1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3, I will bring a tack hammer to next year's draft and hit you on the head cause you are a retard, so don't make me tell you that.
Let's move on to the focus of this week's column....no, not the LB's 183 point outburst (well, maybe just a little), but I'm gonna get back to the West Wing a little bit.
And I'm guessing that probably 2/3rds of the readers just clicked the little 'x' in the upper right of this window after that last comment. I'm glad the rest of you stuck around cause it will be worth it in the end...
This week I'm going to assign each of our fantasy teams a West Wing character that personifies the respective team. If that sounded way to geeky for you....think of it this way....I'm just gonna put some pictures up when talking about each team as a gimmick to both fill space and, well....fill space.
I'll go in order of points scored this past week, lowest to highest....so here we go....
Team | Wk 13 Pts | Record | WW'er | Comments |
Team Tang | 67 | 6-7 |
![]() |
The look on Will's face says it all. You can just see the contempt for Daunte and Tice. He'd rather go work for Mike Sherman than stick around under this purple and gold administration. I'd bet on that. |
Sadida's 21ers | 69 | 1-12 |
![]() |
No offense to fans of Fitz (or Mikey), but this team has been dead in the water since damn near last season. Percy isn't coming back, but Sadida is hoping for a 2005 resurrection of his own. |
Team Nookie | 84 | 3-10 |
![]() |
Why Donna? Well, the only thing Nookie's team has going for it (other than Juice's #1) is a certain Lakes 10 employee and Janel Maloney bears the closest resemblance plus fits in well with Nookie's injured squad. |
Air JC | 93 | 7-6 |
![]() |
What could be more fitting than the commish's team matching up with President Bartlett? Gotta be the correlation, leader of free world and leader of BIGFFBL. |
Fantasy Superior | 109 | 8-5 |
![]() |
With the Superior's team missing out of the playoffs, we have a good fit here. They both seem to always be pissed off at something (Smitty's lack of 3 more points), but still make sense (FFutA**) in their writings... |
Little Red Horse | 117 | 9-4 |
![]() |
Quiet (usually), smart, crafty behind the scene probably fits Jason's team as with the 1st lady. The Horse has 'cooled off' a bit lately, but will be a major force to be reckoned with over the next 3 weeks. |
Team Juice | 118 | 6-7 |
![]() |
No question Josh gets himself in trouble with his political posturing sometimes, and the Dr. is no different (Tiki-Clinton, or benching Clinton for Willie). Add in the fact that Lyman hold's Juice's dream job....natural fit. |
Team Smitty | 119 | 6-7 |
![]() |
CJ goes to Smitty....both natural with words, take tough stances on values and will voice their opinion. Although, CJ probably has no clue about fantasy football, which our career points leader sure does. |
Wong's LD's | 120 | 8-5 |
![]() |
Yes, he plays a Senator on the show....come on people. He stands up for his beliefs even when others rip on him. The question of the week is, does he get special attention from the executive branch? |
Flying Hellfish | 121 | 9-4 |
![]() |
Suomala and Leo are dead on, well except for the whole alcohol thing and the age thing and well...they both DO think things out and get the damn job done. If Leo were in our league I'd expect them to perform like the 'Fish. |
Team GOO | 122 | 6-7 |
![]() |
Moving on to Rico...whom some might consider our league joker...similar to Sam (at least when he was on the show). He won his battle this week against the president, but last week's loss to the senator is still on his mind. |
There's only 1 left.....
I'm sure you Can gueSs the bIg team....
But cAn you guess the WW'er???
It'll defiNitely be worth it.....believe me....
JuSt scroLl down somE more....
And You're finally there.....
Little Bastards | 183 | 9-4 |
![]() |
Did I not tell you it was worth it? Why Ainsley? Well, first, why the hell not. But second, the LB's are the hottest thing in our league right now with his 183 monster (not that Procter is in any of our leagues at all)). Sadly though, she isn't a regular on the show, but I'm again pushing TV shows by saying you can see her on CSI:Miami on Mondays if you feel the need.... |
So I'd say that's plenty long of a study break for me. Hope ya'll enjoyed it. I'd like to pat myself on the back and say it's some of my better work. Now, aren't you glad you weren't in the 2/3rds of readers that clicked that little 'x'? I told you it was worth it.
Need I say more?
