Perfection....Postmortem...From the healthy, Norton virus protected notebook of your commish. Tuesday November 21st, 2006 8:32 PM Rambling after Week 11... See how that works - I give Juice some props last week and then his team forgets to show up this week. Sure, LT was there, but he's like the damn Energizer Bunny (hmm, come to think of it, that bunny hasn't been showing up much in commercials lately - and you never see LT and the bunny in the same spot.) Anyway, Team Juice is not looking good with injuries to Dono, Kev Jones, Housh and DeShaun. Juice, you are now welcomed into the club of those screwed over by McSuck - we had jackets made. Other than that, Juice has clinched the Bulldog Division title by securing the 2nd or 3rd tiebreaker over Smitty. The other divisions are not so clear cut at this point.....three weeks to go and essentially 9 teams could still claim the golden toilet and (with a stretch) everyone is still playoff eligible (although it would be a miracle bigger than K-Fed getting half of Brittney's stuff for Jonny to get to the playoffs). So to start out.....IF THE PLAYOFFS WERE TODAY Bulldog Champs - Juice (10-1) Starting with Team Tang - Well, what to say here. Jonny is on a five game losing streak, sitting at the bottom of the Husky Division and is looking down the hall at the Golden Toilet. I guess the good part about all that is he will at least have something for his trophy case. And don't forget that he picked up Jugs' 2nd round pick for 2007. Chances from here on out -- nada. nil. nope. Moving on to the Fantasy "not so" Superior. Rough year for the reigning champ. Fighting injury (Fitzgerald, S.Smith) and inconsistency (Rudi, AZ QB's, Shockey) this year hasn't made this one a smooth one (or vocal either.....no win = no trash talk apparently) He'll likely be looking at a fairly good pick next year which should piss off Jonny since that makes the 2nd rounder he got a late one. Chances from here on out -- has a shot to hurt Suomala's playoff chances, and an outside shot at his own playoff run if he can beat the 'Fish since the Tang and Wojo close out the Superior's schedule. The Little Bastards - good team, not good luck. Fun stat of the year - lost a game by 124 points. Yea, not scored that many, or had that many against, but lost by a margin of 124 in week 8 to the Sailors. Culpepper and Roethlisberger haven't helped - neither has Westbrook's inconsistency. The WR lineup of Harrison, Holt and Moss is ridiculous - if this was 2002. Jon should at least have a few guys to pick from for a 2007 keeper - he should just hope that they can put up some 2002 stats for him. Chances from here on out -- Really no chance at playoffs, but a chance to screw up Nookie and Suomala's playoff run. The other 4-7 team - New Guy #1 - Kinger. Sadly, at that record, he's only 1 game back of the division leaders, but with Manning, Un-Fragile Freddy and Toned-down Terrell, this team could explode every week (either good explode or bad explode I guess). Even though this team is 4-7, he's had three losses at 100+, so with a smidge more luck could be leading the division by a game or two. I know, I know....should'a, could'a, would'a..... Chances from here on out -- Fairly rough schedule with WoJo, JC and the Sailors coming up - all playoff contenders - so not looking good, but an outside chance. The Little Red Horse.....well, kinda like the Cowboys, the LRH hit a high point last week. Someone had to beat Juice - so crack the bubbly cause he went down last week. I guess since no one has yet gone undefeated, no one has a reason to pop the cork. This week gave Jason a 57 point win to go with his 86 point win earlier this year against Jonny. A couple nice weeks. Chances from here on out -- First, a good chance of wasting a Sunday traveling to watch a Vikings 'game' - then an almost certainty to finish out 2-1. Why you ask.....it all comes back to 7-7. How about "New Guy 2". Well, Scottie is a game up on Kinger, so he should at least be "New Guy 1a". Even with some injury problems (Hasselbeck, Simms) Scottie is tied up with Benito for the Husky Division lead. Reggie Bush has proven some of us wrong - but thank goodness for Scottie we're in a point-per-catch league and not a pure yardage or scoring league. Chances from here on out -- Can the new guy make the playoffs? Will Hasselbeck come back and help? Can Ronnie Brown have any consistency? It's a rough schedule down the road -- Kinger, Juice and Jugs, but Scottie has a good shot at the playoffs. Team Nookie....Hanging on by a string. Somehow Michael Vick is still producing just enough. Tiki Barber finally showed he's a human this week and the Addai pick isn't hurting him too badly. Ben's leading the crappy, crappy division with a 5-6 record. I think we should make a rule that if you win your division with a losing record, you get an additional first round pick to help improve your division so it doesn't suck so bad for next year. Chances from here on out -- vs. Tang = Win, vs. LB's = Win, vs. LRH = Win. 3 wins = playoffs. Well, my laptop is pretty much out of battery power for the night, so for the other 6 teams I didn't get to.....too bad. Enjoy the Turkey and potatoes or whatever you choose to eat on Thursday (well, unless it is Lutefisk, cause then I invite you to our house so you don't have to submit yourself to that torture).....
